Answer:My partner was Raymond. Did you feel that having the sandwich template helped your critiquing efforts?
Answer:The sandwich template really helped. It helped break down the process and make it a little easier to do. In which role did you feel the most/least comfortable; being evaluated or in the role of the evaluator?
Answer: The most comfortable role was being the evaluator. I liked being the one to give criticism to my partner. I liked giving advice to help my partner improve his project. What did you learn from interacting with your partner?
Answer: I learned from talking with my partner that even though he is shy, once he trust you and breaks out of his shell he is really smart and funny. He has really great ideas going through his head of his. It is just a little hard to execute. What do your feel were your strengths / weaknesses as an evaluator?
Answer: My strengths were i was really direct and clear on what he could improve on and how he could do that on some areas. My weaknesses were I didn’t know how to tell him he needed more work on his site because I didn’t want to hurt his feelings I guess. What would you do differently next time you found yourself in an ethical constructive feedback situation?
Answer: Next time i will be more honest and actually be serious and give more feedback and help him through what needs attention to.
During our peer review assignment in class the feedback i got for my website is that i should add some padding on each of my pages so that the paragraphs won’t run the page. I was also advised to add more pictures and colors to make the pages more interesting. I really agreed to this comments and so far I have fixed some of these problems. I have yet to improve my padding on my pages but I am working on it. I have also add some new pictures but I think I will add some more and add some color as well to certain places.
Leadership comes with many things like responsibility and being able to lead a group of people in a positive way. When being a leader you need to be able to hear everyone ideas in the group. Motivate the people in your group to improve on their work. Don’t say things in a mean way and just give them criticism.
First takeaway that I learned from reading the article is there are 2 types of compression filters. 1 is lossless and the other is lossy. Lossless eliminates some pixel data in an image. A lossy filter only compresses the pixel data in a image.
Second takeaway I got from this article is that when in choosing the right image format there are questions you have to ask yourself because there are certain functional requirements and visual results that go to each one particularly. Like for instance if you want or have animation the format you should go with is GIF. PNG is good with highest resolution and JPEG is universal when it comes to photos or a screenshot.
Last but no least the third takeaway from this article is that pixels and bytes are important when it comes to image scaling.
Group communication members listen to each group members ideas without being judgying or disrespectful. Each group member should be aware of each person verbal and nonverbal signals given off. It might mean something important. Nonverbal cues are the ones that shows how a person is feeling the most than a verbal cue.
When the group is ending a group meeting it is good to end it on a good note. Like for instance, give one or more group members a compliment on how amazing one of their ideas they pitched earlier was really good.
Summarize the meeting in a way that so that everyone knows what is going on. Also encourage your group members so that will have the confident.
When being in a group you have to learn how to be honest and open to one another. Trust in the foundation to anything great. If you need help ask don’t be afraid to ask questions even if you think the question you are asking is stupid.
Don’t be disrespectful to anyone’s ideas.. Now when it comes into doing the actual work. Be accountable for your portion of the project. Give good ctritisum that they need to in approve in on in a friendly day. Work together to find solutions to problems together.
Today in class all my classmates presented our presentation on why each one of us should be chosen for each other groups for next semester. It was amazing experience to get in front of all your peers and basically sale yourself. I am not going to lie I was very nervous and anxious but i did my best. Doing this project was a little challenging but informing to learn things about yourself that you didn’t know.
You have to be a chameleon in different environments. Like for an example, in your workplace you have to be able to go with the flow. Good etiquette in a workplace is coming in on time, wear appropriate clothing, talk in a professional manner and not like when you talk to your friends, etc. School is the same way you have to come to class on time and be able to answer questions in the correct manner. Inappropriate etiquette is coming class in your pajamas or with your pants to your boot is not the kind of clothing you wear in class. There are so many things you have to do in different environments.
if ever get an image that you like or need a copy and you don’t know where it came from or you want to know about. You can always save that photo to your desktop and open google and drag that image to the search box. Then google should bring up results pertaining to your photo like other pics or somewhat close to and websites that will let you learn more about it.
OR and Quotes
lets just say you are in your car listening to the radio and a song comes on that you are feeling but you don’t know that name of the song and you want to find out but don’t know how. Well don’t stress i have a solution to that problem for you. All you have to do is go to Google and type in the lyric that you remember but don’t forget to add double quotes at the beginning and end of the quote.
Coversions and Calculator
Like everybody else i am super bad at math. So a simple way to fix that is my handy dandy friend Google. Google can do unit to unit conversions for you. It can calculate yards to inches and vice versa. This can come in handy if you have a math problem or even if you are baking.
Translation and Search
Here i found a neat trick that google can do is it can translate different languages from one language to another. This can come in handy for instance lets say you are vacationing in a foreign country and you don’t know or speak the language. Well there is two ways you can go about this. First way is you can type translate in google and it should bring you two boxes where you can type in what you want. Then there is a drop down arrow were you can choose the language you want it to translate to. Second way is you type in the a word into google, scroll down and select show search tools. This then should bring up different languages that word is in. You can add languages and remove them as well.
Filter image results by color
My last trick to tell you about that you could use is you can search google images by using color. What you do is you go to google images. Then you type in a image you want to be found. After that scroll down to you see colors with circles of different colors. Click on any color and google should bring up all images of what you typed in with that specific background color or with that color in it.
During this class session we as a class we talked about the importance behind active listening. Active listening is used in our everyday lives. We use at our jobs, at school, and even at home. When active listening there are so many things that go into it. LIke for instance, eye contact meaning you should always look at the person when they are talking to you so that they know you are listening and paying attention. If you are not looking them directly in the face and looking down it means you are not involved in the conversation and basically you don’t care what they are saying. Another is body language. Body language plays a huge part in active listening especially your face expression or your body posture. Always beware of what you are doing when you are speaking to someone.
Today in class we did a quick 60 second scenes in a elevator. The goal for this was to see if we could convince our boss one of our ideas to use in a fast way. The exercise was really fun and informing. It is not as easy as it sounds. It can be very intimidating to do especially if you don’t want to step out of line and be get fired. I was really nervous but I am glad I got out of my comfort zone and did it.
