  • Leadership

Leadership comes with many things like responsibility and being able to lead a group of people in a positive way. When being a leader you need to be able to hear everyone ideas in the group. Motivate the people in your group to improve on their work. Don’t say things in a mean way and just give them criticism.

  • Group Communication

Group communication members listen to each group members ideas without being judgying or disrespectful. Each group member should be aware of each person verbal and nonverbal signals given off. It might mean something important. Nonverbal cues are the ones that shows how a person is feeling the most than a verbal cue.

When the group is ending a group meeting it is good to end it on a good note. Like for instance, give one or more group members a compliment on how amazing one of their ideas they pitched earlier was really good.

Summarize the meeting in a way that so that everyone knows what is going on. Also encourage your group members so that will have the confident.

When being in a group you have to learn how to be honest and open to one another. Trust in the foundation to anything great. If you need help ask don’t be afraid to ask questions even if you think the question you are asking is stupid.

Don’t be disrespectful to anyone’s ideas.. Now when it comes into doing the actual work. Be accountable for your portion of the project. Give good ctritisum that they need to in approve in on in a friendly day. Work together to find solutions to problems together.

  • Sales Speech

Today in class all my classmates presented our presentation on why each one of us should be chosen for each other groups for next semester. It was amazing experience to get in front of all your peers and basically sale yourself. I am not going to lie I was very nervous and anxious but i did my best. Doing this project was a little challenging but informing to learn things about yourself that you didn’t know.

  • Active Listening

During this class session we as a class we talked about the importance behind active listening. Active listening is used in our everyday lives. We use at our jobs, at school, and even at home. When active listening there are so many things that go into it. LIke for instance, eye contact meaning you should always look at the person when they are talking to you so that they know you are listening and paying attention. If you are not looking them directly in the face and looking down it means you are not involved in the conversation and basically you don’t care what they are saying. Another is body language. Body language plays a huge part in active listening especially your face expression or your body posture. Always beware of what you are doing when you are speaking to someone.

  • Elevator Scenes

Today in class we did a quick 60 second scenes in a elevator. The goal for this was to see if we could convince our boss one of our ideas to use in a fast way. The exercise was really fun and informing. It is not as easy as it sounds. It can be very intimidating to do especially if you don’t want to step out of line and be get fired. I was really nervous but I am glad I got out of my comfort zone and did it.

  • Etiquette and Not Etiquette

You have to be a chameleon in different environments. Like for an example, in your workplace you have to be able to go with the flow. Good etiquette in a workplace is coming in on time, wear appropriate clothing, talk in a professional manner and not like when you talk to your friends, etc. School is the same way you have to come to class on time and be able to answer questions in the correct manner. Inappropriate etiquette is coming class in your pajamas or with your pants to your boot is not the kind of clothing you wear in class. There are so many things you have to do in different environments.

  • Time Management Exercise/Game

    Group Exercise

The group exercise we did in class was really fun. I enjoyed communicating and talking with my other classmates in class. The game was competetive and fun. I learned that you can analyze what you did the first time around so that the second time it comes out a better result outcome. I’m looking forward to other group assignments through out this semester.

  • Time Management

So I was so shocked after doing the quiz and seeing my results. It was right about me. I do get really distracted from doing what I need to be done. I get so fixed on my phone looking at so many apps like YouTube, Instagram, and Hulu. Wait dont let me forget my favourite distraction Netflix. I got watch and see what is new on that particular month. I do need to start making lists and check off things as I go. Start from what is important to not important.
